CMS is converting to the Assessment Submission and Processing (ASAP) System at the end of the year, which will change submission from state databases directly to the federal database. There will be a system shut down from 6:00 PM (ET) on December 26, 2014 through 11:59 PM (ET) on December 31, 2014 during which no OASIS transmission files will be accepted<\/u><\/b>. Please plan accordingly to ensure that your OASIS submissions adhere to the 30-day CMS regulation.<\/p>\n
What does this mean for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists and therapy companies? You may be asked to expedite your OASIS submissions to ensure that the home health agencies meet their deadline and remain compliant with Medicare regulations.<\/p>\n
