Emergency Preparedness Tabletop Exercises

Are you a home health agency rushing to get compliant with Emergency Preparedness Standards by the November 15th deadline but have no idea how to get a tabletop exercise organized? FEMA has two helpful websites to assist you in getting ready.

America’s PrepareAthon

America’s PrepareAthon website for great customizable tools for your tabletop experience. Scenarios include:

  • Active Shooter
  • Earthquake
  • Flood
  • Hurricane
  • Tornado
  • Wildfire
  • Winter Storm

Simply choose the disaster scenario you want to go with from the Hazards dropdown menu and download all the materials you need to create your own tabletop exercise. Options include handouts, videos, certificates of participation, and resources in other languages among other items.

You can also go to the FEMA general website to find additional tabletop presentations. Scenarios include:

  • Cyber Attack
  • Earthquake
  • Critical Power Failure
  • Hurricane
  • Chemical Accident

These also include PowerPoint and videos to enhance your presentations.
